The Sport Rehabilitation Medicine Major offers a flexible curriculum designed to prepare students to apply knowledge clinical skills and/or field training in exercise physiology to careers in fitness, wellness, research and various health professions such as medicine, movement therapy, exercise therapy, athletic training and exercise physiologist.
The Sport Rehabilitation Medicine Major offers four concentration: exercise and/or medical sciences, sport care and science, sport rehabilitation, strength and conditioning for performance. Our curriculum is designed to give students a theoretical foundation in traditional exercise physiology, neuroscience, exercise rehabilitation, and exercise Prescription. Students who graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in the Sport Rehabilitation Medicine will be forward-thinking exercise physiologist and top-notch clinical exercise rehab technician.
Field-oriented significant education, research and service are at the core of the Sport Rehabilitation Medicine Major with a focus on the relationship between body, athletic performance and human movement to improve quality of life and/or performance in regards to health and disease. This multidisciplinary program incorporates sport medicine, sport rehabilitation, the life sciences and their application to clinical, healthy and athletic populations.
Careers after graduation include clinical hospital, health agencies and sport organization, professional athletic team trainer, corporate or private fitness programming centers, and other health-related business and industry opportunities.
