"Fostering civil and corp pilots with great spirits and work abilities“
The University Communicating with the World, the University as the Light for the World
Aviation Operation Major at CKU is the first-ever school specialized in air operation in Gangwon-State, where the experts of air manipulation are fostered to develop the future aviation industry.
Our school value both theories and practical abilities. However, since our students will determine the whole airline industry’s future, we are educating students to form the values of professionalism, mutual respect and safety.
That is, we lead students to make in-depth study across all grade years so that they can become highly-professional pilots. As well, the course for piloting practice begins from the first grade so that the education effect can be synergized. In addition, we encourage students to acquire various certificates such as: automobile pilot license, instrument flight certificate , pilot certificate for business, multi-aircraft certificate, pilot training certificate, and aviation wireless communication certificate. Lastly, the students can acquire national certificate for unmanned piloting (the license of driving ultra-light flying device) through taking courses in UAV Manipulation Training Center in our university.
We are proudful of our school’s optimal environment allowing the best education, through which all students will become talents with expertise, skills and good personality. All of our faculty members will endeavor for that goal.
Conforming to the spirit of Catholic Kwandong University, we aim for fostering the experts with Catholic values as follows:
A. Fostering the genuine pilot experts having both great spirit and practical abilities, through customized education boosting internationalcompetitiveness with foreign language skills and personality.
B. Fostering creative talents with good personality through industrial customized education based on industry-academia cooperation, so that the students can lead the competitiveness enhancement of national aviation industry in future.
C. Training pilot professionals in the high-tech aviation industry through efficient education programs linking aviation knowledge and flight practice to form the values of professional, respect, and safety, which are the three virtues that a pilot should possess
