College of Medicine

Training healthcare professionals equipped with intelligence and compassion

In 1994, the Nursing Department was established, recruiting 40 freshmen. In 1995, the Pre-Medicine Department was introduced, enrolling 50 freshmen, and in 1997, the Department of Medicine was established. Students who completed the Pre-Medicine program enter the Department of Medicine, forming the College of Medicine consisting of Pre-Medicine, Medicine, and Nursing.

In September 2014, with the foundation of Catholic Kwandong University, it was reborn as the Catholic Kwandong University's College of Medicine. It has a well-established system with the Catholic Kwandong University International St. Mary's Hospital as an affiliation.

The College of Medicine serves as a practical platform for the educational philosophy of Catholic Kwandong University. Based on the Catholic spirit, it cultivates the fundamental knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for healthcare professionals who deal with human health and diseases. It aims to foster healthcare professionals with intelligence and compassion, contributing to public health issues in human society.
