Due to the increasing trend of healing and the desire for emotional well-being in modern society, there is a heightened interest in health. People actively seek ways to maintain and enhance their health while pursuing a happy life. Marine resources can contribute to stress relief, emotional stability, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. "Marine Healing and Leisure" represents the concept of utilizing activities related to the sea for health promotion and healing. This involves seeking psychological stability and physical comfort through unique experiences provided by the marine environment. In this context, enrolling in the Marine Healing and Leisure program, which utilizes marine resources, allows individuals to pursue their dream of becoming healing professionals.

The Department of Marine Healing and Leisure is dedicated to nurturing professionals who enhance the physical, emotional, psychological, and social well-being of individuals through the marine healing environment, resources, and leisure activities. Marine healing and leisure activities provide stress relief, rejuvenation, and improved insight through harmonious interaction with marine resources, contributing to the enhancement of human life quality and the pursuit of happiness.

In our department, we place emphasis on fostering students' creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, exploring healing and leisure activities utilizing marine resources. Educational Objectives

As the only major in the field of marine healing and leisure in the country, our goal is to cultivate highly skilled professionals equipped with practical knowledge in the healing and leisure industry related to the ocean and marine resources. We aim to respond to the evolving industrial structure with the advent of the 6th industrial revolution, emphasizing systematic and efficient management in the realm of healing and leisure industries associated with the ocean.

To achieve this, the department operates a curriculum that enhances in-depth knowledge and practical skills in marine healing and leisure by dividing it into specialized tracks in the fields of marine therapy and marine leisure. Students will acquire practical expertise that can be immediately applied in the field through systematic utilization of marine resources, creative evaluation processes, practical product development, and on-site internships.

Training marine healing and leisure professionals
  • Marine healing professionals
    Students will learn the humanistic knowledge and theories related to healing necessary to become professionals utilizing marine resources. They will delve into advanced theories such as marine therapeutic planning, development of marine therapeutic products, promotion strategies for marine therapeutic activities, analysis strategies for marine therapeutic resources, and marketing strategies related to marine healing, applying these theories effectively.
  • Marine leisure professionals
    Students will learn the social science knowledge and specialized theories related to leisure essential for becoming professionals utilizing marine resources. They will study advanced theories such as marine leisure, marine sports, marine safety, promotion planning for marine leisure, and rehabilitation related to the ocean, applying these theories effectively.
  • Marine healing and leisure professionals
    Students, as the only department in the country specializing in marine healing and leisure, will take pride in utilizing marine resources for healing and engaging in ocean leisure activities. They will acquire the professional theories and practical skills necessary to become skilled professionals focused on practical applications, contributing to the maintenance, enhancement, and rehabilitation of health through the use of marine resources.
