The Department of Speech-Language Rehabilitation was established in 2018 as a part of the Ministry of Education's financial support project. Initially designated as the Speech-Language Rehabilitation and Counseling major within the Division of Human Rehabilitation Services, it was subsequently elevated to the Department of Speech-Language Rehabilitation within the College of Human Services in 2019. This department offers a four-year regular lifelong education program for adult learners (aged 30 and above) and post-employment learners (graduates of specialized high schools who are currently employed). The aim of the Speech-Language Rehabilitation Department is to establish the highest level of academic excellence in order to rehabilitate individuals, including infants, children, adults, and the elderly, who suffer from communication disorders.
Based on the founding spirit of Catholic Kwandong University, the College of Human Services operates its educational programs for Speech-Language Rehabilitation whose main goal is to systematically and professionally educate individuals in the ideology and values, theories, knowledge, and skills of the speech-language pathology based on scientific research methods. The focus is on cultivating specialized professionals in speech-language pathology who can creatively address social needs and issues.

b. Practical training and field experience to cultivate a sense of practicality and awareness in the field of speech-language pathology.
c. Development of creative abilities to effectively address community issues by integrating theory and practice in real-world situations.
