Introduction
The purpose of establishing the Department of Dementia Prevention and Rehabilitation is to train experts equipped with practical knowledge and skills for dementia prevention and treatment at a time when social interest and national responsibility for dementia in the elderly is being imposed.
In response to an aging society, the Department of Dementia Prevention Rehabilitation provides academic and practical knowledge for dementia prevention, early detection of dementia, and social integration of dementia families and patients. In particular, through rehabilitation of the elderly, the disabled, and social misfits, the Department of Dementia Rehabilitation provides students with the opportunity to lead humane lives. We would like to establish the necessary academic value.
Educational Objectives
- Clinical practice-oriented education by various experts on dementia
- Prevention of elderly people with dementia and support education for families and dementia patients
- Person-centered care for the elderly with dementia and acquisition of clinical knowledge, techniques, and theories
- Training and practice of practical dementia rehabilitation therapy along with cognitive behavioral therapy
- Develop guidance for employment, entrepreneurship, and transitional workers through adult learner-centered education and training.

- Lifelong Education Specialist
In accordance with Article 24 of the Lifelong Education Act, we are field experts in lifelong education who carry out planning, progress, analysis, evaluation, and teaching of lifelong education.
- Healthy Family Welfare Specialist
Healthy family practitioners are experts with knowledge and experience in related fields to carry out healthy family projects stipulated in the ‘Healthy Family Act’. Healthy Family Practitioners are responsible for the following tasks at family centers in provinces, cities, counties and districts across the country.
- Prevention, consultation and improvement of family problems
- Development of programs to maintain healthy families
- Healthy family education
- Other activities determined by the Minister of Gender Equality and Family in relation to the healthy family project
- Dementia Rehabilitation Specialist
- Cultivating clinical experts in dementia screening and evaluation
- Field training and practical education on dementia treatment techniques based on similar experiences and careers
- Opportunity to acquire various clinical certifications in dementia prevention and treatment techniques
